A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Delicious food with excellent chili sauce. Not a ton of vegetarian options but the staff were helpful and accommodating. The coconut noodles were especially delicious! Unique and tasty cocktails too."
"Absolute hidden gem. Outstanding pork belly and coconut noodles. Coconut negroni also worth trying. Though the chicken skin fell slightly short."
"Heard about this place after following the owner Jen Balisi's blog over the past several years and decided to try it out over the weekend. The chicken Lumpia was fresh and crispy, really loved how it was paired with their in-house chilli sauce. I also got the peanut stew called Kare-Kare for my main, which was originally a vegetarian dish but could be served with crispy pork or prawns. It was very umami with the addition of the shrimp paste on the side, the texture of the pork and bok choy rounds off this dish well. Special shout-out goes to the manager Michael for his amazing service too! Would come back for dessert next time"
"I had an unforgettable experience thanks to Bles, the incredible restaurant manager. We booked the venue for my birthday, and from the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make us feel special. When she initially didn't have availability, she personally organized the tables in a way that everyone could fit comfortably, showing her dedication and professionalism. Bles truly made us feel at home—her caring and warm attitude made the celebration extra special. She treated us with luxury, ensuring we had everything we needed, and even kept the bar open longer than it was supposed to, which we deeply appreciated. Her attention to detail, kindness, and genuine care made all the difference. Highly recommended!"
"From service to food, excellent! Ate Mae is very attentive not just to us, but also to all the other customers! She's amazing. The food - from starters to desserts - were delicious,, in just the right amount of sweet, sour, while keeping its distinct Filipino taste!"
"We had a great dinner here I was late to my booking but the staff was friendly and welcoming, just giving me a polite reminder that they were fully booked for the evening and that they needed the table back by a certain time. It's still their soft opening at this new location, so the menu was a bit smaller than what they have plans for. It's a much cozier space than their last location but I can imagine it would be fun to book out the venue for an event! Hoping they bring back the boodle fight hehe I don't eat pork so my husband was a bit worried at first that I'd leave hungry, because the menu is majority pork-based, but I managed to order a few chicken and tuna dishes and I left with a satisfied belly. Everything tasted AMAZING. Def recommend the chicken bites, love how it's served in a banana leaf cone! And the bbq chicken is to die for. They may have switched locations but the quality and taste remains the same"
"Great little Filipino restaurant just off the corner of peel street (Central). Started and main for $108, excluding service charge. Ordered the chicken lumpia, which were basically spring rolls. Crispy, piping hot and the filling was delicious. Chose the Barkada BBQ sauce chicken w/ garlic rice for my main. Chicken was a little bit dry for my liking, but the flavour was there. Restaurant is small but clean. Staff were nice and friendly."
"Excellent customer service. We especially love how the food is presented. Special touch that they gave our friend a birthday biko with candle and background happy birthday song. Thanks Barkada especially to Ate Mae who served us today."
